RDC Bin Update
Side waste collection updates – Week commencing the 3rd January 2022
Normal waste collections will resume the week commencing Monday 3 January 2022. Limited side waste left beside your bin will be collected as follows:
NON-RECYCLABLES – Two plastic sacks or bags
These will be collected from Monday 3rd January until Friday 7 January inclusive.
No additional side waste will be collected after these dates.
Real Christmas trees can be cut up and placed inside your compostables bin with the lids shut or disposed of at the recycling centre at Castle Road, Rayleigh.
Compostable bins update – 4th January 2022
RDC crews are working extremely hard to continue to empty your bins but due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak and some staff having to isolate there will be disruptions this week on the compostable collections.
The advice is to leave your bin out so that it can be emptied in the normal way, placed at the boundary of your property by 7am on your collection day. If they don’t pick up your compostable bin as expected, please bear with them, and continue to present the bin, as they try to catch up.
