Great Wakering Parish Council looks after a range of local services and facilities including the village allotments, parish burial ground, parish clock, duck pond, bus shelters and various areas of street lighting. The Council also funds grounds maintenance of St Nicholas churchyard and supports community projects through grants and local initiatives.
There are thirteen Parish Councillors, elected to represent the community across three wards. Councillors are volunteers who work to improve local services and represent the interests of residents.
