Christmas and
New Year bin collection dates
Rochford
District residents continue to be amongst the best in England when it
comes to recycling, and we would like to say a big thank you for all
your help.
With
Christmas only just around the corner, it is more important than ever
that we try to minimise our waste and recycle as much as possible.
There
will be minimal changes to your normal collection days over the festive
period so please check the table below to see if you are affected.

Please note there will be no Compostables collections from Monday 26th
December, resuming Monday 2nd January 2023, that week will be
Recyclable bin collections ONLY.

collections will resume week commencing Monday 2nd January 2023.
Limited
side waste left beside your bin will be collected over the Christmas
period as follows:
- RECYCABLES – Four clear/see-through sacks containing
recyclables ONLY
- NON-RECYCLABLES – Two plastic sacks/bags
These
will be collected from Tuesday 27th December until Friday 6th
January inclusive.
No
additional side waste will be collected before or after these
dates.
Real
Christmas trees can be cut up and placed inside your compostables bin
with the lids shut or disposed of at the recycling Centre at Castle
Road, Rayleigh.
